Researching family history has recently become popular. The Heritage Centre has an archive corner with censuses, birth records, albums of school photographs, old newspaper cutting, year books and feature photographs of village history and events.

The extensive graveyard surrounding the museum has been mapped by the Manshead Archaeological Society of Dunstable and volunteers from the Santander Bank in Milton Keynes and all legible gravestones have been recorded in an index which is available in the Heritage Centre.
The parish records of Woburn can be purchased on C.D. from the Bedfordshire Family History Society at: www.bfhs.org.uk.

Christine Moore, one of our volunteers, is willing to assist with research into family histories local to Woburn. she will carry out the research for a suggested donation to Heritage Centre funds of £50.00. Christine can be contacted via email at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
The locations of individual graves can seen on the title below, this opens a PDF file.
Either side of the main path there are row markers which indicate the row and squares as listed in the index.
Unfortunately since the Gravestone Index was compiled in 2011, some of the inscriptions are no longer legible, this due to the quality of the stone used and also there are rare lichens growing on the stones. We were hoping to have them cleaned off but have been advised we cannot.
